Matthew Capstraw is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following his graduation, he enrolled in St. Thomas University School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998 and is also admitted to practice before the Federal Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, the Seminole County Bar Association, Vice Chair of the Family Law Section of the Seminole County Bar, a member of the Seminole County Domestic Violence Education Commitee, President of the Advisory Board to the Salvation Army Family Focus Program, and a member of the District Task Force for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
